What the questions assume
- Organic molecules contain carbon. Salts do not.
- Proteins: 20 amino acids, shape, enzymes, receptors.
- Monosaccharides: short-term energy. Example, glucose.
- Lipids: C–H chains, long-term energy, hydrophobic.
- Nucleotides: one or two chains, genetic information.
- Matter is rearranged, not created or destroyed.
- Enzymes lower activation energy. -ose sugar, -ase enzyme.
- Heat and pH denature enzymes. Substrate means reactant.
